Get Involved
As we spend, on average, 30% of our waking hours at work, working should be as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. Yet, this is not always the case. The demands of the modern workplace don't help. We need to:
- Constantly adapt to evolving requirements and expectations
- Keep our skills up to date
- Navigate office politics effectively
- Be open, empathetic, yet decisive
- Constantly demonstrate value
It’s a lot to handle and, as research has shown, increasingly, we are trying to tackle all this alone. Understandably, this can lead to high stress, anxiety and burnout. It doesn’t need to be that way.
None of these challenges are unique, they don’t need to be faced alone. Yet, finding a group with whom to share these challenges is hard. To name only a few requirements, the members of the group should be able to understand the unique challenges we are facing, offer impartial advice, help us see situations in a new light and suggest relevant solutions.
This is the issue we want to solve with Peer Therapy: we want to foster the development of a new type of support networks, a peer support network, where where anyone can get the support they need to thrive personally and professionally.
What is specific to the approach?
Peer support groups connect people with similar experiences and contexts. The focus is on enabling conversations between peers, allowing them to be vulnerable and honest as they can trust that the people around the table understand the unique challenges they face and offer actionable solutions and insights.
How can I take part?
If you are a product manger (or owner, or director) working in a technology company, you can subscribe to our calendar on Luma and join an event in your city.
How can I contribute?
As an individual, you can support peer therapy in multiple ways:
- As mentioned above, you can join as a participant! We value everyone's contribution and welcome everyone to our community
- You can donate your time and expertise: Product Therapy is a volunteer-led event. We can always use helping hands or a new set of eyes. Especially when it comes to improving our online presence.
- Last, but not least, you can buy us a coffee and support the website and other activities that we carry out to maintain the event.
As a company, you can:
- Host an event at your offices
- Become a sponsor. To do so, feel free to contact us at organizers at peer therapy dot co.
